Machine Club - Sharlese w/ Annika + Stacy

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Sharlese is a Seattle-based DJ, radio host, and curator whose sets thrive on the unexpected. Moving fluidly between electro, EBM, Italo, wave, and techno, she builds dark, immersive narratives where seductive rhythms meet otherworldly synths and underground sounds collide. With nearly two decades of digging, programming, and contextualizing music, Sharlese has developed a distinctive sound that is as cerebral as it is physical—creating evocative moments on the dance floor that linger long after the music stops. From Berlin’s Panorama Bar and Tresor to Detroit’s Club Toilet, New York’s Nowadays, and Intergalactic FM Festival in The Hague, Sharlese has earned an international reputation for her genre-defying approach. Beyond the decks, she has been part of Seattle’s KEXP since 2010, where she produces *The Afternoon Show* and hosts *Mechanical Breakdown*, championing underground and boundary-pushing music. Through her long-running party series Audiodrome and False Prophet, she continues to cultivate spaces for adventurous sounds and artists. Whether behind the booth or on the airwaves, Sharlese invites listeners into a darker, deeper world where the unexpected becomes essential and
